About SlowSoft GmbH

SlowSoft GmbH was founded in November 2014 by Schamai Safra and Christof Traber, two experts in the field of speech technology. Until 2016 we focused on the development of an entirely new speech synthesis system for arbitrary languages. In 2016 and 2017 we worked on the establishment of the speech data for speech synthesis in Swiss German (Bündner dialect) and in Rhaeto-Romanic (Vallader idiom) as well as in Swiss Standard German and US English. In parallel we developed demonstrators for dialog systems in these languages. In 2018 we developped a Zurich dialect male voice. More dialects are to follow in 2019.

Versions of these languages that have been available since September 2017 can be heard on our demo page. Of course, the quality of the speech output will be improved continuously, while taking into account the concrete wishes and application-specific needs of our customers. Upon request we will also develop further Swiss German and Rhaeto-Romanic dialects as well as further Swiss languages (French and Italian).
